The audience was convinced that Antônio Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domenico Sabatino was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After 11 minutes of play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Xande Chaves made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domenico Sabatino was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ booed when Sorci Viola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ettore Teti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anfilogino Chiola helped the player get up and apologised. Domenico Sabatino came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos. But to his dismay, Antônio Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beppe Zoff was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Antônio Santos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Domenico Sabatino was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. If Antônio Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The throw-in from Ettore Teti in the 59th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Pan De Wen. Domenico Sabatino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antônio Santos's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. 63 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goal looked a bit too open when Antônio Santos came free, but Domenico Sabatino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Santos succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 65th playminute. 68 minutes into the game, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Antônio Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domenico Sabatino came out of the goal and Arthur Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s Pan De Wen got a free kick in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙'s goal looked a bit too open when Anfilogino Chiola came free, but João Vítor Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domenico Sabatino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arthur Guedes's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Arthur Guedes might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domenico Sabatino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arthur Guedes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 92nd minute of the match, Arthur Guedes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Domenico Sabatino saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alberto Carozza lost his temper 95 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 95 minutes into the game, one of Sorci Viola:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sorci Viola:s Domenico Sabatino showed great skill when he stopped Paolo Maldini:s penalty. The ♙Fluminense Campéon 23♙ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
