Palermo's Teofilo Federigo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Saldanha in the 15th minute of play. Teofilo Federigo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Penha in the 37th minute of the match. After 38 minutes Palermo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samuel Melo who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Saldanha in the 40th minute of play forced Palermo's goalkeeper Teofilo Federigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teofilo Federigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tadeu Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute, Oscar Eguen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teofilo Federigo made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Hílton Penha sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hílton Penha got free with Teofilo Federigo in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafael Hondo in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teodoro Ferraz saved Jumeuc Futebol Clube from getting behind. In the 61st minute of the match Palermo got a corner. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julian Birila ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hílton Penha came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Teofilo Federigo could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Palermo's zone, Hílton Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Federigo came out of the goal and Hílton Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teofilo Federigo made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Hílton Penha sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hílton Penha got free with Teofilo Federigo in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Teofilo Federigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adelino Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Rafael Hondo made a precise shot to the right of Teodoro Ferraz. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. A nice corner shot did that Julian Birila got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Teodoro Ferraz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Adelino Saldanha's late challenge caught a Palermo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adelino Saldanha helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Jumeuc Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adelino Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute Jacinto Mino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Jumeuc Futebol Clube's Adelino Saldanha slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Teofilo Federigo. That made the score 2-2 after 88 minutes of play. With a little luck, Palermo's Teofilo Federigo got control of the ball when Hílton Penha tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Lionel Georgiev fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palermo's protests and gave Lionel Georgiev a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 97 minutes, Adelino Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jumeuc Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
