The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Helmuth Duckadam made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Klavs Jarltoft showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Duna, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Volmer Frimand in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Helmuth Duckadam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Helmuth Duckadam made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ralph Nielans in the 20th minute. Thodoris Koutsoures charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thodoris Koutsoures the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thodoris Koutsoures hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Klavs Jarltoft made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markos Kokotoulis in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Sletteenge booed when RO Army V55 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitris Kantartzis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Helmuth Duckadam made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Gunner Tesgaard sent off a good shot on target. In the 29th match minute, RO Army V55 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thodoris Koutsoures to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute Volmer Frimand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmuth Duckadam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Markos Kokotoulis kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Markos Kokotoulis in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Markos Kokotoulis made a kick off. Helmuth Duckadam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laurids Neider, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Sletteenge's Klavs Jarltoft played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thodoris Koutsoures in the 52nd minute of play. Markos Kokotoulis made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 54thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Klavs Jarltoft would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Marin Duna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Klavs Jarltoft read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes, Gregorius Kytter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sletteenge and the RO Army V55 players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gregorius Kytter kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Markos Kokotoulis sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Klavs Jarltoft skillfully saved the ball. Marin Duna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Klavs Jarltoft tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sletteenge were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after RO Army V55's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gunner Tesgaard took the corner. The corner ended in Gunner Tesgaard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but RO Army V55's Helmuth Duckadam did a great save. Eustratios Lemonis struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Klavs Jarltoft didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RO Army V55. 80 minutes into the match, Sletteenge's goalkeeper Klavs Jarltoft had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eustratios Lemonis. Klavs Jarltoft made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thodoris Koutsoures in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd minute, Grigoris Ntinopoulos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th match minute, RO Army V55 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grigoris Ntinopoulos to maneuver through the defense. Gunner Tesgaard struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Helmuth Duckadam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sletteenge. Markos Kokotoulis came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Klavs Jarltoft could save by the left post. With his leg Klavs Jarltoft managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when RO Army V55's Markos Kokotoulis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. RO Army V55's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
