Caetano Saad ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a little luck, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Adam Doykin got control of the ball when Cássio de Alcântara tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aaden Hutton in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Doykin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adam Doykin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cássio de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 56th minute of the match, Aloísio Donato got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rafa Moura was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
