Octavio Gonzo came free with the goalkeeper in the 4th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcelo Gröhe could save by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Rafaela FC's zone, Jan-Joost Grootjans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inocencio Veronica came out of the goal and Jan-Joost Grootjans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marcelo Gröhe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolando Jax in the 10th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Rafaela FC's Eloy Gipuzkoa got a free kick in the 12th minute. The supporters of Arsenal de Gols F.C booed when Rafaela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Guillerme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Claus Ostwald got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute of the match Rafaela FC got a corner. Arsenal de Gols F.C's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nico Veit ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Ubaldo Lluis managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Inocencio Veronica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Siqueira in the 24th minute of play. Elias Siqueira took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inocencio Veronica. Inocencio Veronica dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Jax in the 31st minute of play forced Arsenal de Gols F.C's goalkeeper Marcelo Gröhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute, Elias Siqueira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Inocencio Veronica was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Eloy Gipuzkoa kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Elias Siqueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal de Gols F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rafaela FC the free kick. Elias Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcelo Gröhe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The wind increased when Elias Siqueira made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Siqueira in the 57th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Elias Siqueira came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Arsenal de Gols F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elias Siqueira couldn't finish the play. Rafaela FC's Esteban Ikatz was substituted for Octavio Gonzo. Arsenal de Gols F.C made a substitution. Betão Duarte replaced Jan-Joost Grootjans. Ross Strong hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd match minute, Rafaela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ross Strong to maneuver through the defense. Rafaela FC's Inocencio Veronica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Alvarenga in the 65th minute of play. Arsenal de Gols F.C were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Rafaela FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Claus Ostwald took the corner. In the 68thth minute of the game Esteban Ikatz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal de Gols F.C's Marcelo Gröhe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Inocencio Veronica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raimundo Alvarenga took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Inocencio Veronica. Inocencio Veronica dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Inocencio Veronica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raimundo Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Basilio Guillerme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Gröhe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Raimundo Alvarenga. 97 minutes into the game, Arsenal de Gols F.C's Raimundo Alvarenga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inocencio Veronica made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Arsenal de Gols F.C had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
