Hélder Veiga scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Omar Cruz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Emílio Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xulian Cacheres, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Alirón Furgol Clus's Ximo Jauregui got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 30 minutes, Ximo Jauregui managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alirón Furgol Clus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ximo Jauregui was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Gremio Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Ximo Jauregui came free, but Emílio Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Washington dos Santos in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Omar Cruz saved Alirón Furgol Clus from getting behind. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Washington dos Santos sped through Alirón Furgol Clus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Omar Cruz. Rutenio Mudarra charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rutenio Mudarra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rutenio Mudarra kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ximo Jauregui in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emílio Vieira saved Gremio Fc from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Washington dos Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfredo Trigo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Omar Cruz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gremio Fc. Omar Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Washington dos Santos's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. Emílio Vieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ximo Jauregui went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Ximo Jauregui kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emílio Vieira. That made the score 2-2 in the 57 minute of play. Xulian Cacheres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Omar Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Washington dos Santos in the 74th minute of play. Omar Cruz came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Gremio Fc's Washington dos Santos. But to his dismay, Washington dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. The supporters of Gremio Fc booed when Alirón Furgol Clus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Casta didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rdth minute of the game Washington dos Santos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alirón Furgol Clus's Omar Cruz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Omar Cruz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Washington dos Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Emílio Vieira made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Ximo Jauregui sent off a good shot on target. Washington dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Alirón Furgol Clus's Ximo Jauregui ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emílio Vieira. Emílio Vieira yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. The Gremio Fc supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Alirón Furgol Clus's performance. The match ended with a win for Alirón Furgol Clus.
