It was a penalty for Modlau! The score was 1-0 after a penalty in the 10th minute, where Janusze Futbolu:s Claudio Caniglia tricked Modlau:s Lew Yashin with a difficult ball by the left post. Lew Yashin made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Norbert Jaktorowo sent off a good shot on target. Peter-Michael Schmeichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zula Puszynski in the 16th minute of play. The Modlau fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Modlau's Barry McCray looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Peter-Michael Schmeichel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry McCray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norbert Jaktorowo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lew Yashin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Caniglia got free with Lew Yashin in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With 41 minutes on the clock, Lester Subili commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 41 minutes into the game, one of Modlau:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Lew Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Caniglia in the 47th minute of the match.

Lew Yashin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Caniglia's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Modlau players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Janusze Futbolu.
