With his leg Mateo Phelipe managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Modlau's Barry McCray fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mateo Phelipe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry McCray, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barry McCray in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateo Phelipe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. MIRA -ŁÓDZ were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Modlau's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Julian Demario took the corner. In the 16thth minute of the game Barry McCray who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MIRA -ŁÓDZ's Mateo Phelipe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lew Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Klewinski in the 18th minute of the match. In the 19th minute of the match MIRA -ŁÓDZ got a corner. Modlau's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Julian Demario ran over to the corner to take the kick. 20 minutes into the match, MIRA -ŁÓDZ's Boleslaw Zawadzki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lew Yashin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With splendid footwork Barry McCray arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 23rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barry McCray in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Phelipe saved MIRA -ŁÓDZ from getting behind. In the 33rd minute Modlau were awarded a corner. Artur Adamski went to the cornerflag to take it. Modlau's Damazy Jucha was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mateo Phelipe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mateo Phelipe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barry McCray, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Modlau's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Artur Adamski in the 36th minute. MIRA -ŁÓDZ's Mateo Phelipe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur Adamski in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pankracy Nakonieczny was the one to do the kick off. In the 71st minute Leonard Brack shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lew Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lew Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pankracy Nakonieczny in the 80th minute of play. Cezary Jajecznica scored 2-3 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lew Yashin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 87 minutes into the game, Cezary Jajecznica was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MIRA -ŁÓDZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Modlau the free kick. In the 87th minute, Cezary Jajecznica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pankracy Nakonieczny succeeded in the game's 91st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-4. Mateo Phelipe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry McCray in the 95th minute of play. The MIRA -ŁÓDZ players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
