Unai Sócrates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Penha having to interfere. 9 minutes in the game Emílio Barbosa did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Belmiro Cabral. Otávio Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Unai Sócrates, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Erik Antunes. Icoara Football Club's Otávio Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Unai Sócrates in the 22nd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, César Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 24 minutes into the game, Unai Sócrates recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Otávio Penha. Unai Sócrates showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Fauna Utd's Radamel Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Santana in the 27th minute of play. After 32 played minutes Icoara Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Dito Ramos. 32 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's goalkeeper Otávio Penha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Unai Sócrates. Dante Huts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Cipriano Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Icoara Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Cipriano Santana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Radamel Hendrickx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 39th minute, Unai Sócrates fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 42 minutes into the game, Unai Sócrates cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Otávio Penha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Iuri Ortiz made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fauna Utd's Karel Cromefeldt. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dito Ramos to make the kick off. Fauna Utd's Radamel Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Antunes in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Unai Sócrates in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Otávio Penha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the match, Icoara Football Club's Erik Antunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radamel Hendrickx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Unai Sócrates sped through Icoara Football Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Otávio Penha. Unai Sócrates took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Otávio Penha. Otávio Penha dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. If Unai Sócrates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd match minute, Icoara Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cipriano Santana to maneuver through the defense. Otávio Penha came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Fauna Utd's Unai Sócrates. But to his dismay, Unai Sócrates quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Unai Sócrates sped through Icoara Football Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Otávio Penha. Pieterjan Anteunis might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Otávio Penha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pieterjan Anteunis ran back to his position shaking his head. Unai Sócrates fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Penha having to interfere. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 8-0 when Unai Sócrates sped through Icoara Football Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Otávio Penha. Unai Sócrates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Otávio Penha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Pieterjan Anteunis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Otávio Penha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
