Franklin Bittencourt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the game, CON-E-CO's Kamiel Stessel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Franklin Bittencourt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. When Kamiel Stessel got free in front of the goal in the 39th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Franklin Bittencourt was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Moise Zgrăbunţa charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moise Zgrăbunţa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind CON-E-CO's goalkeeper Nilson Peres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, Ahmet Baki Lebib had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franklin Bittencourt. Vasco FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmet Baki Lebib was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in Vasco FC's zone, Kamiel Stessel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Franklin Bittencourt came out of the goal and Kamiel Stessel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kamiel Stessel came free, but Franklin Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. CON-E-CO fully deserved thier win.
