After a defensive mix-up in Union de Marrakech's zone, Ernesto Senna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. The Pimento fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesinha de Souza should have stopped the shot. Ahmad El Azhari's late challenge caught a Pimento's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmad El Azhari helped the player get up and apologised. Ahmad El Azhari kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 17thth minute of the game Chakir Madih who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pimento's Cesinha de Souza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nilson Terra kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ernesto Senna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Salaheddine El Hamdaoui made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Saber Belmahjoub's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cesinha de Souza was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Cesinha de Souza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Saber Belmahjoub in the 53rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Pimento's zone, Saber Belmahjoub stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesinha de Souza came out of the goal and Saber Belmahjoub tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Senna in the 96th minute of play forced Union de Marrakech's goalkeeper Salaheddine El Hamdaoui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Union de Marrakech's Badis Boussaboun got a free kick in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded Union de Marrakech left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pimento.
