The Maxguaruja fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matías Loureiro should have stopped the shot. Erik Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matías Loureiro having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Maxguaruja's Allan Tróia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Otávio Penha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. A collision led to Icoara Football Club getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Belmiro Cabral hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Icoara Football Club defense, Allan Tróia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Otávio Penha. The Icoara Football Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otávio Penha should have stopped the shot. Allan Tróia came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Otávio Penha could save by the left post. 42 minutes into the game, Murilo Silveira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Icoara Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maxguaruja the free kick. The supporters of Maxguaruja booed when Icoara Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murilo Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Tróia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otávio Penha having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Erik Antunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matías Loureiro was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilberto Severo was the one to do the kick off. When Erik Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Icoara Football Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Antunes couldn't finish the play. 53 minutes into the game, Erik Antunes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matías Loureiro. Erik Antunes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-3. In the 57th match minute, Icoara Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Délio Brodel to maneuver through the defense. Délio Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Icoara Football Club! Otávio Penha went to the wrong direction when Acácio Paraense was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Otávio Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Severo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 70th minute, Erik Antunes made a precise shot to the right of Matías Loureiro. Maxguaruja's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. Icoara Football Club's Otávio Penha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Severo in the 81st minute of play. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-5 when Gilberto Severo sped through Icoara Football Club's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Otávio Penha. Cipriano Santana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Matías Loureiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Gilberto Severo notched a goal, 5-5, to the right of Icoara Football Club's Otávio Penha. Otávio Penha was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Erik Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Icoara Football Club players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
