The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, 何威庭 notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Cosmos Soccer Club's Dan Gheară. Dan Gheară was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 8 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when 何威庭 came free, but Dan Gheară reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Gheară didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 何威庭 went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Cosmos Soccer Club's Dan Gheară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 何威庭 in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kent Cullen to maneuver through the defense. Grant McKay charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Grant McKay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 16th match minute, Cosmos Soccer Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant McKay to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Benedict Sheppard came free, but Dan Gheară reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 何威庭 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dan Gheară having to make a save. 何威庭 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. In the 29th minute Cosmos Soccer Club were awarded a corner. Waldo Bean went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Cosmos Soccer Club's Harvey Flynn to fire away a dangerous shot which Fu Feng Chong despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 何威庭 might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dan Gheară. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. 何威庭 ran back to his position shaking his head. 何威庭 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, 曾伟松 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Ţopescu in the 42nd minute of play forced AC米兰's goalkeeper Fu Feng Chong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half AC米兰 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 75th minute, Kent Cullen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AC米兰's Vinícius Junior shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 76th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dan Gheară but with some difficulty. Fu Feng Chong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Ţopescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Vinícius Junior struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Dan Gheară didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AC米兰. The Cosmos Soccer Club supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching AC米兰's performance. The match ended with a win for AC米兰.
