VB-Team's Armindo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Boaventura in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loukianos Livas. In the 15th minute Gervásio Severiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armindo Maltez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armindo Maltez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervásio Severiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The Ponte do Carro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Armindo Maltez should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Alcino Jesus got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Armindo Maltez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Braga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loukianos Livas struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Armindo Salgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ponte do Carro. Armindo Salgado came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Ponte do Carro's Alcino Jesus. But to his dismay, Alcino Jesus quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joaquim de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Loukianos Livas made a precise shot to the right of Armindo Salgado. VB-Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. With an all-out effort, VB-Team's Armindo Maltez threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gervásio Severiano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Armindo Maltez was a little too slow when Gervásio Severiano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alcino Jesus in the 64th minute of play forced VB-Team's goalkeeper Armindo Salgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervásio Severiano in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, VB-Team's goal looked a bit too open when Loukianos Livas came free, but Armindo Salgado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armindo Maltez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandro Leitão, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Enzo Pellecchia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VB-Team's Luís Caeiro was substituted for Joaquim de Barros. After 74 played minutes VB-Team got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Pellecchia. In the 76th minute, Graciano Caneira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ponte do Carro's Palmiro Leite was substituted for Alcino Jesus. Ponte do Carro made a substitution. Francisco Queirós replaced Gregório Jesus. 78 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Gervásio Severiano came free, but Armindo Maltez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Shao Kun Yuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Armindo Maltez made a huge save. Armindo Salgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Palmiro Leite in the 84th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Shao Kun Yuan came free, but Armindo Maltez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. VB-Team's Armindo Salgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Queirós in the 95th minute of play. When the match was over VB-Team could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ponte do Carro throughout the match.
