The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Liboslav Krušina was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Armindo Maltez came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by SLB TELHA's Valério Vilaça. But to his dismay, Valério Vilaça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Valério Vilaça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Armindo Maltez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ponte do Carro getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Gil Vilhena hit a great ball. Bernardo Leiria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loukianos Livas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armindo Maltez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Ribas in the 21st minute of the match. Simão Boaventura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Bernardo Leiria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Vilaça came free, but Armindo Maltez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valério Vilaça took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Armindo Maltez. Armindo Maltez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Vilaça in the 33rd minute of play forced Ponte do Carro's goalkeeper Armindo Maltez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, SLB TELHA's goal looked a bit too open when Loukianos Livas came free, but Bernardo Leiria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Leiria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Loukianos Livas's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. The audience was convinced that Valério Vilaça's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Armindo Maltez was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. Adão Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Bernardo Leiria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loukianos Livas in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Ponte do Carro's goal looked a bit too open when Valério Vilaça came free, but Armindo Maltez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 played minutes SLB TELHA got a freekick which was hit by Adão Maia.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valério Vilaça to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ponte do Carro's Loukianos Livas got a free kick in the 51st minute. Bernardo Leiria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregório Jesus, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Ponte do Carro's Gil Vilhena got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Adão Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SLB TELHA's Bernardo Leiria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loukianos Livas in the 58th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th match minute, SLB TELHA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Ribas to maneuver through the defense. Adão Maia hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Alcino Jesus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernardo Leiria. SLB TELHA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ponte do Carro's Armindo Maltez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Ponte do Carro from getting a goal against them. Luís Ribas hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Gil Vilhena made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SLB TELHA's Hugo Tomé. After 90 minutes, Luís Ribas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SLB TELHA and the Ponte do Carro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The SLB TELHA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SLB TELHA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
