After a rather tough play, Campus Douro Academy's André Pestana got a free kick in the 19th minute. Cai Yuan Yuan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eliseu Bragança having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 21st minute of play forced Campus Douro Academy's goalkeeper Eliseu Bragança to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the MZ Fénix defense, Vedat Burçhan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pankracy Zajonc. The MZ Fénix fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pankracy Zajonc should have stopped the shot. Campus Douro Academy's Eliseu Bragança played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Pankracy Zajonc, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Campus Douro Academy's corner André Pestana fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pankracy Zajonc quite easily take care of the ball. Pankracy Zajonc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Montay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
The wind increased when Cai Yuan Yuan made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, MZ Fénix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cai Yuan Yuan to maneuver through the defense. Vedat Burçhan might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pankracy Zajonc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
