Moisés Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Cunha in the 6th minute of the match. Guarani MZC's Carlos Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Guarani MZC from getting a goal against them. In the 8th minute, Paulão Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugênio Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giuseppe Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Guarani MZC's Carlos Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Guarani MZC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 20 minutes, Paulinho Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JFSP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulinho Batista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th match minute, Guarani MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulão Varela to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Dracena made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Eugênio Paiva sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute, Eugênio Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Dracena. Guarani MZC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Paiva in the 41st minute of play forced Guarani MZC's goalkeeper Carlos Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugênio Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 49th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Eugênio Paiva made the kick off in the second half. Carlos Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugênio Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, Eugênio Paiva made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Dracena. Guarani MZC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. A collision led to Guarani MZC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Wesley Macedo hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Paulinho Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Paulinho Batista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Dracena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Geovanni Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Carlos Dracena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eugênio Paiva's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Eugênio Paiva struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Carlos Dracena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for JFSP. In the 68th minute Eugênio Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Eugênio Paiva ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Dracena was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Guarani MZC's Carlos Dracena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Batista in the 76th minute of play. When the match clock showed 78 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Eugênio Paiva sped through Guarani MZC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carlos Dracena. Paulão Varela made in the 83rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Ciro Sabóia immediately put the ball in play. After having played for 84 minutes, Eugênio Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. JFSP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugênio Paiva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Paulinho Batista managed to get in a good position for a shot. JFSP's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulinho Batista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Dracena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carlos Dracena came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by JFSP's Horácio Souto. But to his dismay, Horácio Souto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Guarani MZC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for JFSP.
