The supporters of Corumbaense F.C. booed when Avantchê was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Corumbaense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Abraão came free, but Luís Eduardo dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommi Toivonen's late challenge caught a Avantchê's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tommi Toivonen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Corumbaense F.C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Tommi Toivonen hit a great ball. Avantchê's Fausto do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Avantchê from getting a goal against them. 37 minutes into the match, Corumbaense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Douglas Cardoso came free, but Luís Eduardo dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Eduardo dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Abraão stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Adriano Abraão did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Luís Eduardo dos Santos 53 minutes into the match. Adriano Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Luís Eduardo dos Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Fernando Pernambucano got free with Luís Eduardo dos Santos in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
