After a rather tough play, Social Anarquia F.C.'s Luciano Vallejo got a free kick in the 8th minute. Albert Camus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Dida Taffarel made a huge save. Dida Taffarel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert Camus in the 11th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Dida Taffarel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After some careless play in the Social Anarquia F.C. defense, Nestor Paraibano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erivaldo Catarinense. The Social Anarquia F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erivaldo Catarinense should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel got control of the ball when Albert Camus tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute, German Cano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erivaldo Catarinense was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 45 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luciano Vallejo. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Albert Camus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Albert Camus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Moussa Kabre was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marquês de Herval's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Social Anarquia F.C. the free kick. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Marquês de Herval! Marquês de Herval:s Dida Taffarel showed great skill when he stopped Karl Marx:s penalty. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Alfredo Martins took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Erivaldo Catarinense to make any attempt to save it. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Vallejo in the 67th minute of play. Social Anarquia F.C.'s Luciano Vallejo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Valentin Vizitiu, made in the 70th minute of the game. Albert Camus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Dida Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marquês de Herval's Acácio Cunha was substituted for Valentin Vizitiu. Albert Camus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Erivaldo Catarinense was a little too slow when Nestor Paraibano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 87th minute, Nestor Paraibano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erivaldo Catarinense. The goal made the score 0-6. Erivaldo Catarinense made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Nestor Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albert Camus in the 95th minute of play.
