The score was now 1-0. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Ahmet Haşim Kanver took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jörgen Söderström to make any attempt to save it. Michael Grönberg took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Meriç Bergin. Meriç Bergin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. A collision led to Trabzonspor FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Cristiano Valencia hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vetlanda's zone, Ahmet Haşim Kanver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörgen Söderström came out of the goal and Ahmet Haşim Kanver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Vetlanda's Jörgen Söderström got control of the ball when Ahmet Haşim Kanver tried to sneak it across the goal line. Meriç Bergin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Grönberg in the 28th minute of play. Jan Jonasson charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Michael Grönberg made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Haşim Kanver in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jörgen Söderström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ahmet Haşim Kanver might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jörgen Söderström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahmet Haşim Kanver ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 55th minute Ahmet Haşim Kanver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörgen Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Hazım Sadun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ahmet Haşim Kanver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jörgen Söderström came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Trabzonspor FC's Ahmet Haşim Kanver. Meriç Bergin made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Michael Grönberg sent off a good shot on target. Meriç Bergin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Grönberg in the 75th minute of play. If Ahmet Haşim Kanver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute.
