Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The Independente FC fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Independente FC's Thomás Ramalho looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 12 minutes into the game, Michael Grönberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nilmar Torres. Michael Grönberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Jörgen Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Mendes in the 19th minute of the match. Jörgen Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aílton de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Mendes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jörgen Söderström. Vetlanda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Guilherme Mendes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Independente FC's Jaime Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Guilherme Mendes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jörgen Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aílton de Almeida in the 27th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Luiz Guilherme Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Independente FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The supporters of Independente FC booed when Vetlanda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Jonasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Independente FC's Jaime Quintal got a free kick in the 37th minute. 41 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Grönberg came free, but Nilmar Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Jaime Quintal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jörgen Söderström. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michael Grönberg to make the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Independente FC's Thomás Ramalho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jörgen Söderström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-6. Thomás Ramalho succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-7 in the 60th playminute. After a defensive mix-up in Vetlanda's zone, Luiz Guilherme Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jörgen Söderström came out of the goal and Luiz Guilherme Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Independente FC defense, Jan Jonasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nilmar Torres. The Independente FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nilmar Torres should have stopped the shot. 73 minutes into the game, Jaime Quintal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jörgen Söderström. Jaime Quintal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-8. Thomás Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Independente FC's Aílton de Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Independente FC's Jaime Quintal got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Thomás Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nilmar Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Grönberg in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tom Häger came free, but Nilmar Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael Grönberg in the 91st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilmar Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute Luiz Guilherme Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörgen Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Independente FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
