In the 3rd minute, Berchan Caffrey made a precise shot to the right of Adélio Vaz. SC Sabugueiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After some careless play in the Tinacarra Utd defense, Noel Gaspar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brendan McJon. The Tinacarra Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brendan McJon should have stopped the shot. The supporters of SC Sabugueiro booed when Tinacarra Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Costello didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, SC Sabugueiro's goal looked a bit too open when Berchan Caffrey came free, but Adélio Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomé Figueiras kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Berchan Caffrey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Berchan Caffrey to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 65 minutes, António Brandão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Sabugueiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Brandão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adélio Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Banvan McSteve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, SC Sabugueiro's goal looked a bit too open when Berchan Caffrey came free, but Adélio Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noel Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brendan McJon having to interfere. 83 minutes into the match, Tinacarra Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Madruga came free, but Brendan McJon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brendan McJon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noel Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute SC Sabugueiro were awarded a corner. José Neiva went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led SC Sabugueiro's José Neiva to fire away a dangerous shot which Brendan McJon despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Brendan McJon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noel Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Sabugueiro were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
