The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Boruta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Erlantz Bermejo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jesus Luke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Michael Owen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurino Serena having to make a save. Alcorcón's Eusebio Quijana was substituted for Natxo Cacheres. A.D. Alcorcón's Laurin Mangas was substituted for Nereo Acosta. The supporters of A.D. Alcorcón booed when Atlético Montserrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Calvet didn't get a good kick on the ball.
