A.D. Alcorcón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Octavio Gonzo ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emmanuel Otero in the 18th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper Inocencio Veronica to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inocencio Veronica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Belo Alvarez in the 34th minute of the match. Rafaela FC's Inocencio Veronica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belo Alvarez in the 39th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Maurino Serena successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to A.D. Alcorcón getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Delmar Mayor hit a great ball. After 43 played minutes, Rafaela FC's Octavio Gonzo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maurino Serena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rafaela FC reached it. 44 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Belo Alvarez came free, but Inocencio Veronica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ross Strong came free with the goalkeeper in the 46th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Maurino Serena could save by the left post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
