Thomás Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burç Tokhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Maurício Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anders Lundqvist having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Burç Tokhan came free, but Thomás Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bebben Johansson in the 19th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Capibaribe Stars's Sílvio Luís Urbano was substituted for Jairo Neto. Capibaribe Stars made a substitution. Robinho Urbano replaced Alexandre Netto. In the 32nd minute Bebben Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute Robinho Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anders Lundqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Bebben Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomás Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes Capibaribe Stars's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cosme Larpe who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Golden Lions FC's corner Cosme Larpe fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Thomás Toscano quite easily take care of the ball. Anders Lundqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Henry Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anders Lundqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Costa came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Golden Lions FC's Igor Dzierwa quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mihnea Zamfir, made in the 51st minute of the game. Golden Lions FC made a substitution. İbrahim Efe Topdemir replaced Marcelo Steven. With a little luck, Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist got control of the ball when Sílvio Luís Urbano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thomás Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebben Johansson in the 69th minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Golden Lions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robinho Urbano came free, but Anders Lundqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Joschi Hook came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Golden Lions FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joschi Hook couldn't finish the play. Golden Lions FC's Markus Svensson was substituted for Georg Termander. After a rather tough play, Golden Lions FC's Björn Björkqvist got a free kick in the 80th minute. Golden Lions FC's Anders Lundqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Golden Lions FC from getting a goal against them. Thomás Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Svensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 86 minutes into the game, Markus Svensson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Thomás Toscano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Capibaribe Stars's Thomás Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İbrahim Efe Topdemir in the 93rd minute of play. Thomás Toscano came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Golden Lions FC's İbrahim Efe Topdemir. But to his dismay, İbrahim Efe Topdemir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Golden Lions FC had won after a very even match.
