Silvinho Perez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pontus Rolfsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Bivall came free, but Silvinho Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Zonta in the 27th minute of play forced Sannegården BK's goalkeeper Dennis Säfström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Säfström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Zonta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henry Wennerlund kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Henning Haeger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Edu Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Säfström having to interfere. Dennis Säfström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Zonta in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edu Zonta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pontus Rolfsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Grêmio FBPA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Grêmio FBPA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
