The audience thought a goal was coming when Percy Paterson got free with Dayam Guruzeta in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Internacional Pechofrío booed when Fire Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ueli Siegenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Internacional Pechofrío's goalkeeper Dayam Guruzeta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pius Gruenenfelder. After a rather tough play, Internacional Pechofrío's Manoel Esparza got a free kick in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nahia Fuica in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Furcas saved Fire Devils from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nahia Fuica in the 48th minute of play forced Fire Devils's goalkeeper Andreas Furcas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nahia Fuica to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when Internacional Pechofrío was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Percy Paterson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fire Devils's supporters rose to their feet, but Percy Paterson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dayam Guruzeta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 79th minute, Percy Paterson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dayam Guruzeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Percy Paterson in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fire Devils's Francis Aberle got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Pius Gruenenfelder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dayam Guruzeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pius Gruenenfelder in the 91st minute of the match. Dagoberto Tamaron charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dagoberto Tamaron the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 93rd match minute, Internacional Pechofrío was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Tamaron to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Nahia Fuica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Fire Devils were the better team. Fire Devils's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
