He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mário do Vale was a little too slow when Iurie Bănățeanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 1-0. The audience was convinced that Iurie Bănățeanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mário do Vale was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Leontin Titulescu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Kaká Madureira hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute, Codruț Macaneață left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. With his leg Mário do Vale managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Iurie Bănățeanu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 32 minutes into the match, Irinel Buta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mário do Vale. A.D.Maragatos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Irinel Buta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. A collision led to A.D.Maragatos getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Kaká Madureira hit a great ball. Codruț Macaneață took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mário do Vale. Mário do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Codruț Macaneață fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário do Vale having to interfere. Chicão Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the game, Iurie Bănățeanu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mário do Vale. Iurie Bănățeanu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cauã Vidal to make the kick off. Cauã Vidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valer Onișoru read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. With his leg Valer Onișoru managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when A.D.Maragatos's Cauã Vidal fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Codruț Macaneață struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Mário do Vale didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca. After 62 minutes of play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Codruț Macaneață made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mário do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! When PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Iurie Bănățeanu in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.D.Maragatos's goalie prevented a goal. Mário do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iurie Bănățeanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Irinel Buta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.D.Maragatos the free kick. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Irinel Buta hit a great ball. Alexander Reis hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Wesley Palmeira kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After 74 played minutes, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Sebastian Culcer shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mário do Vale came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca reached it. Valer Onișoru made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cauã Vidal sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the match, Codruț Macaneață had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mário do Vale. A.D.Maragatos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Codruț Macaneață was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. 85 minutes into the match, Cauã Vidal notched a goal, 7-1, to the right of PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Valer Onișoru. Valer Onișoru was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cauã Vidal in the 89th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Valer Onișoru to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário do Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Codruț Macaneață went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-1 was the resulting score. Codruț Macaneață blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mário do Vale having to make a save. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
