Patrice Sénéchal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thiago Caniggia in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Desamparados's Jeronimo Terciero got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute Thiago Caniggia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrice Sénéchal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saint Côme de Fresné's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Domingo Cristofol scored to the left of an out of position Patrice Sénéchal, making the score, 1-0. After 19 played minutes Saint Côme de Fresné got a freekick which was hit by Henri Quesada. Patrice Sénéchal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thiago Caniggia in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the game, Sportivo Desamparados's Domingo Cristofol nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Patrice Sénéchal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Valentin Samuel charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Samuel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sportivo Desamparados getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Valentin Samuel hit a great ball. Saint Côme de Fresné's Patrice Sénéchal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Saint Côme de Fresné from getting a goal against them. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

51 minutes into the match, Thiago Caniggia notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Saint Côme de Fresné's Patrice Sénéchal. Patrice Sénéchal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thiago Caniggia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrice Sénéchal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thiago Caniggia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Thiago Caniggia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sportivo Desamparados's supporters rose to their feet, but Thiago Caniggia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrice Sénéchal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 73 minutes into the match, Saint Côme de Fresné's goal looked a bit too open when Thiago Caniggia came free, but Patrice Sénéchal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Sportivo Desamparados's Hermengildo Valerio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Patrice Sénéchal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Valerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87thth minute of the game Thiago Caniggia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saint Côme de Fresné's Patrice Sénéchal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 90th minute Thiago Caniggia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrice Sénéchal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Saint Côme de Fresné's zone, Domingo Cristofol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrice Sénéchal came out of the goal and Domingo Cristofol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sportivo Desamparados had played much better football throughout.
