Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hüsnü Taş to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Teachers FC got a freekick which was hit by Enzo Ferreira. Désiré Kaká succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 62nd playminute. Bento Raminhos's late challenge caught a Blue Mountain State's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bento Raminhos helped the player get up and apologised. Bento Raminhos hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute, Ricardo Kaká made a precise shot to the right of Leal Pádua. Teachers FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-5. Blue Mountain State's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
