If Baldomiro Hodei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 12 minutes, Sebastián Izquierdo made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Doctor's Fred Keerme tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Baldomiro Hodei's late challenge caught a Doctor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Baldomiro Hodei helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Doctor booed when Martin Palermo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomiro Hodei didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Martin Palermo F.C. fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Martin Palermo F.C.'s Sebastián Izquierdo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastián Izquierdo in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fred Keerme saved Doctor from getting behind. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kunnar Eesti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastián Izquierdo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Fred Keerme when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fred Keerme was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 70th match minute, Martin Palermo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Norberto Astrada to maneuver through the defense. Fred Keerme was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Sebastián Izquierdo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aureliano Herena showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Doctor's Leo Villig got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 played minutes Doctor got a freekick which was hit by Rein Raas. Doctor's defense didn't have a chance, in the 81st minute, when Celso Felipillo scored to the left of an out of position Fred Keerme, making the score, 0-8. The crowd rose to their feet as Flavio Brion kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fred Keerme. That made the score 0-9 in the 85 minute of play. Martin Palermo F.C. were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Doctor's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Celso Felipillo took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Doctor's goalie and right to Mauro Efren. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Doctor's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 93 minutes into the match, Doctor's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastián Izquierdo came free, but Fred Keerme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Innar Uhtlik during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Innar Uhtlik kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Martin Palermo F.C. played a much better game than Doctor and deserved their victory. The Doctor players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
