Marcelino Basajaun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Marcelino Basajaun might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathys Mora. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelino Basajaun ran back to his position shaking his head. Mathys Mora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelino Basajaun, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Deportivo Luz y Fuerza's goal looked a bit too open when Raphaël Giacometti came free, but Eusebio Tibalt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Deportivo Luz y Fuerza's Ildefonso Belarmo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Afonso hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute Guy Rambaud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Tibalt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.
