Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) Guararapes's João Francisco Machado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Machado came free, but Salvador Ramond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Pedro Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Silvanito in the 9th minute of play forced Guararapes's goalkeeper Paulo Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Quitilipi were awarded a corner. Hector Silvanito went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Hector Silvanito got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paulo Rosa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Paulo Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Silvanito in the 12th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Silvanito in the 14th minute of play forced Guararapes's goalkeeper Paulo Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, José Pedro Cardozo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Quitilipi's Salvador Ramond. Salvador Ramond was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Guararapes getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Glauco Novaes hit a great ball. The supporters of Guararapes booed when Quitilipi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorio Cresitobalo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Salvador Ramond came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Guararapes's João Francisco Machado. But to his dismay, João Francisco Machado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Salvador Ramond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osmar Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 36th minute João Francisco Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Ramond saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quitilipi's Salvador Ramond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar Nunes in the 38th minute of play. Lucas Gilesindo hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Glauco Novaes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 0-3 when João Francisco Machado sped through Quitilipi's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Salvador Ramond. 48 minutes into the match, João Francisco Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Salvador Ramond. Quitilipi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Francisco Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hector Silvanito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. João Francisco Machados short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Salvador Ramond to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Salvador Ramond made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when José Pedro Cardozo sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Guararapes getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Osmar Nunes hit a great ball. With a little luck, Quitilipi's Salvador Ramond got control of the ball when João Francisco Machado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Quitilipi's Salvador Ramond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Francisco Machado in the 66th minute of play. Paulo Rosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduardo Llorienzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. João Francisco Machado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Salvador Ramond when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Salvador Ramond stood somewhat misplaced when João Francisco Machado came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 75 minute. Guararapes's Délio Leme was substituted for Luís Gustavo Neves. The supporters of Guararapes booed when Quitilipi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Silvanito didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edvaldo Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. José Pedro Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Ramond having to interfere. A collision led to Quitilipi getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Lisandro Joanes hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 99 minutes, Cristiano Senna took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Salvador Ramond to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle sounded Guararapes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quitilipi.
