Didi Yip kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. The supporters of SK Mons booed when NFH Family United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Au didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Steven Puttemans's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerard Koh was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Steven Puttemans sped through NFH Family United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gerard Koh. 15 minutes into the match, NFH Family United's goalkeeper Gerard Koh had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nick Daniels. After some careless play in the SK Mons defense, Farhan Hui kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Connor Osmond. The SK Mons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Connor Osmond should have stopped the shot. SK Mons's Connor Osmond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bryan Lam in the 26th minute of play. Connor Osmond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Farhan Hui, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Puttemans in the 36th minute of play forced NFH Family United's goalkeeper Gerard Koh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. NFH Family United's Gerard Koh proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save NFH Family United from getting a goal against them. Gerard Koh came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by SK Mons's Steven Puttemans. But to his dismay, Steven Puttemans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Gerard Koh was a little too slow when Steven Puttemans got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nick Daniels was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, NFH Family United's goal looked a bit too open when Leif Olofsson came free, but Gerard Koh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Di Ping Jun during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes SK Mons got a freekick which was hit by Di Ping Jun. 55 minutes into the match, SK Mons's goal looked a bit too open when Anil Sum came free, but Connor Osmond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nick Daniels hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Tony Degraef managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Mons's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Degraef was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gerard Koh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 73rd minute, Steven Puttemans made a precise shot to the right of Gerard Koh. NFH Family United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. A collision led to NFH Family United getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Danish Hoe hit a great ball. Yanniek Verhaert took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gerard Koh. NFH Family United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, SK Mons's Mattias Theijs got a free kick in the 90th minute. 93 minutes into the match, SK Mons's goalkeeper Connor Osmond had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bryan Lam. The supporters of NFH Family United booed when SK Mons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Vrijdags didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. SK Mons were victorious despite being under pressure from NFH Family United for much of the match.
