If Cai Espinosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nico Paz charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nico Paz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Nico Paz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guilherme Catarinense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cai Espinosa's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. Guilherme Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cai Espinosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. When Umberto Britto fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Joinville United - FSCMZ's protests and gave Umberto Britto a yellow card for diving instead. Umberto Britto hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Guilherme Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Espinosa in the 21st minute of play. Melquiades Borrás recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guilherme Catarinense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Melquiades Borrás in the 24th minute of the match. Guilherme Catarinense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cai Espinosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cai Espinosa in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guilherme Catarinense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Guilherme Catarinense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cai Espinosa went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Guilherme Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cai Espinosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Jailson Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Real Llull de Reus's Che Valdivia got a free kick in the 39th minute. Paulo Renato de Moraes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. After 42 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Joinville United - FSCMZ! In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Real Llull de Reus. Jose-Manuel Litago stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Guilherme Catarinense. 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Real Llull de Reus's Luis Maestro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Guimarães in the 59th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play Real Llull de Reus's Nico Paz was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Nico Paz hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Che Valdivia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Guilherme Catarinense made a huge save. Nelson Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Cai Espinosa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Real Llull de Reus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cai Espinosa got free with Guilherme Catarinense in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the game, Cai Espinosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Guilherme Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Joinville United - FSCMZ's zone, Marcelo Valverde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Catarinense came out of the goal and Marcelo Valverde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Llull de Reus walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
