The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 18th minute, Rodrigo Cordareo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Afonsinho Nunes. The goal made the score 1-0. 27 minutes into the match, Clube Atletico Alagoano's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Cordareo came free, but Afonsinho Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Bento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Leal in the 31st minute of the match. With a little luck, Clube Atletico Alagoano's Afonsinho Nunes got control of the ball when Everardo Regis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 42 played minutes Clube Atletico Alagoano got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Leal. Afonsinho Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Cordareo in the 43rd minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

55 minutes into the match, La Cosa Nostra's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley Lara came free, but Flavio Bento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renan Vides kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Edvaldo Peixoto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Cordareo struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Afonsinho Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Cosa Nostra. Afonsinho Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Cordareo in the 72nd minute of play. Leopoldo Constancio hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Rodrigo Cordareo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Nunes having to interfere. Rodrigo Cordareo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Afonsinho Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Wesley Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. La Cosa Nostra were victorious despite being under pressure from Clube Atletico Alagoano for much of the match.
