Spectators: 7568 (Terracing: 5677, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Erkan Fostiropoulos kicked off to start the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zoltán Szakál got free with August Hoffmanns in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gusztáv Makkai's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but August Hoffmanns firmly grabbed it by the left post. Gusztáv Makkai received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. August Hoffmanns came out and tried to block the shot, but Gusztáv Makkai slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 11th minute. August Hoffmanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kálmán Kertész in the 15th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Kálmán Kertész made a precise shot to the right of August Hoffmanns. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a rather tough play, Dombiratosi Football Club's Attila Majer got a free kick in the 18th minute. Balázs Nagy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erkan Fostiropoulos's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Balázs Nagy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Krinke in the 30th minute of play. Fabian Krinke's late challenge caught a Dombiratosi Football Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Krinke helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Fabian Krinke got a free kick in the 37th minute. Dombiratosi Football Club's Balázs Nagy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erkan Fostiropoulos in the 39th minute of play. After 40 minutes, Pál Kántor mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dombiratosi Football Club and the Rot-Weiss-Essen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erkan Fostiropoulos was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gusztáv Makkai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by György Kerékgyártó during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The crowd rose to their feet as Gusztáv Makkai kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving August Hoffmanns. That made the score 3-0 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Gusztáv Makkai made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Dombiratosi Football Club booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Helmut Malinowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rot-Weiss-Essen's zone, Kálmán Kertész stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal and Kálmán Kertész tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zoltán Szakál, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Dombiratosi Football Club were awarded a corner. Attila Majer went to the cornerflag to take it. Dombiratosi Football Club's Attila Majer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but August Hoffmanns in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. August Hoffmanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kálmán Kertész, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dombiratosi Football Club's Balázs Nagy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erkan Fostiropoulos in the 66th minute of play. Hugo Haupt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Balázs Nagy skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Kálmán Kertész struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. August Hoffmanns didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dombiratosi Football Club. 71 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Zoltán Szakál came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute Erkan Fostiropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balázs Nagy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When György Kerékgyártó was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. If Gusztáv Makkai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Mesut Özil hit a great ball. Mesut Özil hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Balázs Nagy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 93rd minute Erkan Fostiropoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balázs Nagy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that Dombiratosi Football Club were the better team. Dombiratosi Football Club's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
