The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eske Aksel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raphael Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Cesar Indalecio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Gilabert struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Adrianinho de Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Zabaleta. 18 minutes into the game, Toninho Peixoto threw the ball into play from the sideline. La Zabaleta's Diego Katia quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Cesar Indalecio came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the La Zabaleta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Indalecio couldn't finish the play. After having played for 23 minutes, Isidro Adrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Zabaleta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidro Adrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grêmio Imortal's Adrianinho de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Imortal from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isidro Adrio got free with Adrianinho de Medeiros in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Grêmio Imortal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Erubiel Diagur was slow to take the kick. During this time La Zabaleta's players had a chance to rest. The corner led La Zabaleta's Erubiel Diagur to fire away a dangerous shot which Adrianinho de Medeiros despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 32nd minute of the match La Zabaleta got a corner. Grêmio Imortal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erubiel Diagur ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Maranhense in the 36th minute of play forced La Zabaleta's goalkeeper Eske Aksel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of La Zabaleta booed when Grêmio Imortal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Grêmio Imortal getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Dida Vidal hit a great ball. Knútur Kaaaas charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Knútur Kaaaas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Erubiel Diagur shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 46 minutes into the match, Raphael Tasso notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of La Zabaleta's Eske Aksel. Eske Aksel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The La Zabaleta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Grêmio Imortal were winning 0-1.

Grêmio Imortal's Adrianinho de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Indalecio in the 53rd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Maranhense came free, but Eske Aksel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute Ronaldinho Maranhense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eske Aksel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grêmio Imortal's Knútur Kaaaas got his second yellow card of the match in the 62nd minute. The referee ordered Knútur Kaaaas off the ground. Knútur Kaaaas kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Ronaldinho Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrianinho de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Gilabert in the 74th minute of the match. La Zabaleta's Eske Aksel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denílson Ramos in the 76th minute of play. If Cesar Indalecio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eske Aksel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Maranhense in the 90th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Denílson Ramos in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eske Aksel saved La Zabaleta from getting behind. In the 93rd minute, Gaspar Lastur made a precise shot to the right of Adrianinho de Medeiros. Grêmio Imortal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Grêmio Imortal were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing La Zabaleta to leave the ground with a draw.
