The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Kahraman Saraçoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hernan Florian was a little too slow when Uğuralp Gülerce got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. Hernan Florian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Uğuralp Gülerce in the 14th minute of play. If Gonzalo Rutenio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uğuralp Gülerce in the 16th minute of play forced INTER de Córdoba's goalkeeper Hernan Florian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the game, Aytunç Kelim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Karadeniz Ereğli S.K.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTER de Córdoba the free kick. Aytunç Kelim hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uğuralp Gülerce in the 28th minute of play forced INTER de Córdoba's goalkeeper Hernan Florian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Uğuralp Gülerce recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute of the match, Uğuralp Gülerce tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Hernan Florian saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Oğuzkan Sarp kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. When Uğuralp Gülerce came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Karadeniz Ereğli S.K. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uğuralp Gülerce couldn't finish the play. In the 44th minute, Cipriano Dalmu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Rutenio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Kahraman Saraçoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 53 minutes into the match, INTER de Córdoba's goal looked a bit too open when Uğuralp Gülerce came free, but Hernan Florian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Uğuralp Gülerce in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hernan Florian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 73 minutes into the game, Uğuralp Gülerce cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Hernan Florian was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute, Tolga Aşkın got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oğuzkan Sarp kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Karadeniz Ereğli S.K. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
