Serginho Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Efrain Ramone went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pablo Rufio in the 6th minute of play forced Flamengo FC's goalkeeper Serginho Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efrain Ramone took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serginho Azevedo. Serginho Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FC's Elano Ceresso got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Adrian Umbruso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Pablo Rufio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serginho Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Rufio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo Rufio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serginho Azevedo having to interfere. A collision led to Flamengo FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Renato Ortiz hit a great ball. Serginho Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Rufio in the 28th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the match, Efrain Ramone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Serginho Azevedo. Flamengo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Efrain Ramone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. When Piquirenda FC's Pablo Rufio in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flamengo FC's goalie prevented a goal. Serginho Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Rufio's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After some careless play in the Flamengo FC defense, Pablo Rufio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Serginho Azevedo. The Flamengo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Serginho Azevedo should have stopped the shot. Efrain Ramone took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serginho Azevedo. Serginho Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Serginho Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pablo Rufio in the 41st minute of the match. Pablo Rufio took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serginho Azevedo. Serginho Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. 46 minutes into the game, Piquirenda FC's Pablo Rufio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serginho Azevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Efrain Ramone in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serginho Azevedo saved Flamengo FC from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Pablo Rufio put it in 0-8 from a short distance just to the right of Serginho Azevedo. After 59 minutes of play, Piquirenda FC's Pablo Rufio made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Serginho Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rd minute, Pablo Rufio made a precise shot to the right of Serginho Azevedo. Flamengo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-10. The audience thought a goal was coming when Efrain Ramone got free with Serginho Azevedo in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flamengo FC's Serginho Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo FC from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the game, Pablo Rufio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Serginho Azevedo. Pablo Rufio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. With a little luck, Flamengo FC's Serginho Azevedo got control of the ball when Aurelio Urti tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Flamengo FC's Renato Ortiz got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute, Efrain Ramone made a precise shot to the right of Serginho Azevedo. Flamengo FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-12. Pablo Rufios short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Serginho Azevedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Serginho Azevedo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 80th minute of the match, Efrain Ramone tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Serginho Azevedo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Efrain Ramone scored 0-13 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Serginho Azevedo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Flamengo FC's Serginho Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo FC from getting a goal against them. In the 87th minute Efrain Ramone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serginho Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serginho Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Casado in the 90th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pablo Rufio in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serginho Azevedo saved Flamengo FC from getting behind. Piquirenda FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
