Seating: 1743, VIP seats: 151) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jamie Mayfield made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the game, C.S.D Punta Ballena's Vito Alsina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Syd Knott made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 7th minute Vito Alsina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Syd Knott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Vito Alsina made a precise shot to the right of Syd Knott. Barr Point's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vito Alsina in the 11th minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Syd Knott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 minutes Barr Point's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Frantxizko Bollo who took care of the corner kick. Serafino Elorriaga made a great header on C.S.D Punta Ballena's corner, it was just that Barr Point's Syd Knott managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Barr Point's Alfred Doona got a free kick in the 17th minute. Vito Alsina took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Syd Knott. Syd Knott dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Syd Knott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Valverde in the 23rd minute of play. Syd Knott stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vito Alsina's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Syd Knott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Alsina, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute Vito Alsina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Syd Knott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barr Point's Syd Knott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Valverde in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Vito Alsina made a precise shot to the right of Syd Knott. Barr Point's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Syd Knott came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by C.S.D Punta Ballena's Vito Alsina. But to his dismay, Vito Alsina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Dragnea in the 43rd minute of play forced Barr Point's goalkeeper Syd Knott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-6.
The wind increased when Federico Valverde made the kick off in the second half. Syd Knott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Alsina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C.S.D Punta Ballena were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Barr Point's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frantxizko Bollo took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Federico Valverde got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Syd Knott quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Barr Point's zone, Vito Alsina stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Syd Knott came out of the goal and Vito Alsina tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Syd Knott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vito Alsina in the 65th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the game, Joe Read threw the ball into play from the sideline. C.S.D Punta Ballena's Ivan Monk quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Alfred Doona lost his temper 67 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Syd Knott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vito Alsina, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. When Federico Valverde came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the C.S.D Punta Ballena fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Valverde couldn't finish the play. C.S.D Punta Ballena made a substitution. Pacho Candia replaced Qian Wen. In the 77th minute Vito Alsina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Syd Knott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brett Leeson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartoli Navagos having to interfere. A collision led to C.S.D Punta Ballena getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ermengol Velosa hit a great ball. Barr Point's Syd Knott played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Alsina in the 82nd minute of play. Federico Valverde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Syd Knott made a huge save. With a little luck, Barr Point's Syd Knott got control of the ball when Federico Valverde tried to sneak it across the goal line. C.S.D Punta Ballena played a much better game than Barr Point and deserved their victory. The Barr Point players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
