The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Olov Hult stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Johan Johnsson's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. A collision led to Fenrir BK getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ivan Bergendahl hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ivan Bergendahl kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Frans Nässén. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karl-Magnus Lundin during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Fenrir BK booed when Svenska Lejon BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl-Magnus Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th match minute, Fenrir BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kjell Lind to maneuver through the defense. Dag Kjellbom charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dag Kjellbom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fenrir BK booed when Svenska Lejon BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dag Kjellbom didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Einar Carlsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenrir BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Einar Carlsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frans Nässén breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Svenska Lejon BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ivan Bergendahl was slow to take the kick. During this time Fenrir BK's players had a chance to rest. If Ivan Bergendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olov Hult showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Vesterberg in the 38th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Kristoffer Olofsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Olov Hult was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute Ivan Bergendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Nässén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

57 minutes into the match, Fenrir BK's goalkeeper Olov Hult had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johan Johnsson. In the 58th minute Mikael Tolsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Hult saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fenrir BK's Olov Hult proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Fenrir BK from getting a goal against them. Fenrir BK's Olov Hult played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristoffer Olofsson in the 62nd minute of play. Ivan Bergendahl got his second yellow card in the match during the 67th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 70 minutes into the match, Fenrir BK's goal looked a bit too open when Dag Kjellbom came free, but Olov Hult reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Fenrir BK's goalkeeper Olov Hult had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Johan Johnsson. Olov Hult came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Svenska Lejon BK's Johan Johnsson. But to his dismay, Johan Johnsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Johan Johnsson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Olov Hult firmly grabbed it by the left post. Göran Vesterberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Olov Hult tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Svenska Lejon BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Magnus Lundin to maneuver through the defense. Fenrir BK's Olov Hult played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dag Kjellbom in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Svenska Lejon BK's Mikael Tolsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dag Kjellbom in the 93rd minute of play forced Fenrir BK's goalkeeper Olov Hult to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frans Nässén made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oscar Smed in the 96th minute of play. Olov Hult made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Mikael Tolsson sent off a good shot on target. Svenska Lejon BK played a much better game than Fenrir BK and deserved their victory. The Fenrir BK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
