After 5 minutes of play, Garlic Eaters's Jim Tonkin made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vassilis Sapanis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Soulis Katsara made in the 11th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Stelios Aggeloulis. Vassilis Sapanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Barber in the 16th minute of the match. Jo Pryor struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Vassilis Sapanis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garlic Eaters. Vassilis Sapanis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gez Barber in the 19th minute of the match. Jim Tonkin hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Garlic Eaters's Gez Barber got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vassilis Sapanis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gez Barber went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Andre Skipton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 37 minutes, Gez Barber made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. PAOK FC's Vassilis Sapanis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Albert Crawshaw charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Crawshaw the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Garlic Eaters getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Albert Crawshaw hit a great ball. A hard shot 48 in the game by Theodosis Giannou from a close distance when the talented Nikolay Bonkov managed to make a qualified save. Garlic Eaters's players were relieved. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Theodosis Giannou made the kick off in the second half. Vassilis Sapanis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gez Barber showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 54 minute of play. Vassilis Sapanis was a little too slow when Andre Skipton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-5. Vassilis Sapanis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gez Barber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gez Barber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vassilis Sapanis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of PAOK FC booed when Garlic Eaters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gez Barber didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Theodosis Giannou in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nikolay Bonkov saved Garlic Eaters from getting behind. Gez Barber was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 75th match minute, Garlic Eaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gez Barber to maneuver through the defense. Andre Skipton struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Vassilis Sapanis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garlic Eaters. Nikolay Bonkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theodosis Giannou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 91st minute, when Garlic Eaters's Jim Tonkin after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Vassilis Sapanis in PAOK FC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Garlic Eaters's Jim Tonkin got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jim Tonkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vassilis Sapanis having to interfere. The PAOK FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Garlic Eaters were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
