Spectators: 7482 (Terracing: 5613, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Matei Giosu kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Arsenal de Gols F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Matei Giosu came free, but Augusto Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stiinta-Univ.'s Bogdan Lobonț proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Stiinta-Univ. from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute Luís Paulo Alcântara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Lobonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Aluncai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ernesto Lucas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Bogdan Lobonț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Fernando Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Arsenal de Gols F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Bărcăuan came free, but Augusto Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Matei Giosu hit a great ball. Bogdan Lobonț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yuri Alberto in the 30th minute of the match. Cazimir Pânzaru hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 35th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matei Giosu to maneuver through the defense. Simão Mangueira's late challenge caught a Stiinta-Univ.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Simão Mangueira helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, Simão Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matei Giosu charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Matei Giosu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Matei Giosu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuri Alberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Augusto Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matei Giosu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yuri Alberto made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Arsenal de Gols F.C got a freekick which was hit by Doni Maciel. In the 57th minute Yuri Alberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogdan Lobonț saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Cazimir Pânzaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stiinta-Univ.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal de Gols F.C the free kick. In the 58th minute, Cazimir Pânzaru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Lobonț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Lucas in the 58th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Alberto in the 59th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Bogdan Lobonț to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Aluncai kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Matei Giosu might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Augusto Meira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matei Giosu ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Stiinta-Univ. booed when Arsenal de Gols F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dino Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mihai Niță recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Fernando Zanette hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Tróia, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Stiinta-Univ. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
