Sanagasta AFC's Octavio Jeraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Rosado in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Karavela booed when Sanagasta AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Erramu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Octavio Jeraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guto Rosado in the 12th minute of the match. Enrique Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denílson Catarinense made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Tomas Erramu sent off a good shot on target. In the 22ndth minute of the game Guto Rosado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sanagasta AFC's Octavio Jeraldo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the match, Karavela's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Bastiaro came free, but Denílson Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Karavela's Enrique Mattos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Octavio Jeraldo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Octavio Jeraldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guto Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Tomas Erramu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sanagasta AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Erramu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 43rd minute of the match, Joel Bastiaro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Denílson Catarinense saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 45th minute Ruy Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Jeraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Karavela getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Luís Domingues hit a great ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guto Rosado was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Guto Rosado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Karavela's supporters rose to their feet, but Guto Rosado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Octavio Jeraldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute, Karavela's Enrique Mattos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. With an all-out effort, Karavela's Octavio Jeraldo threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guto Rosado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Octavio Jeraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique Mattos in the 61st minute of play. Octavio Jeraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Rodrigo Maidana put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Denílson Catarinense. Karavela's Denílson Catarinense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Erramu in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Tomas Erramu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Denílson Catarinense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match was over Karavela could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sanagasta AFC throughout the match.
