Albino Argider was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 14th minute. Despidida AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 23 minutes, Hernan Eleazar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Despidida AFC and the Sanagasta AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Despidida AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Hernan Eleazar hit a great ball. Edelmiro Haimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Lonzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sanagasta AFC's zone, Roberto Herensuge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Jeraldo came out of the goal and Roberto Herensuge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Despidida AFC defense, Tomas Erramu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edelmiro Haimar. The Despidida AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edelmiro Haimar should have stopped the shot. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Aage Hill got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 43rd match minute, Sanagasta AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Dolfo to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, Tomas Erramu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sanagasta AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Erramu to strike the kick off in the second half. Aage Hill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. The supporters of Sanagasta AFC booed when Despidida AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benigno Felipillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sanagasta AFC's Edgard Lonzo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Vinicio Gau in the 56 minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Edgard Lonzo took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Edelmiro Haimar to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Despidida AFC's Roberto Herensuge got a free kick in the 59th minute. A collision led to Sanagasta AFC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Joel Bastiaro hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aage Hill in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Octavio Jeraldo saved Sanagasta AFC from getting behind. Armando Ubarna lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave Sanagasta AFC a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edgard Lonzo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Despidida AFC's Edelmiro Haimar. 1-5. In the 74th minute, Joel Bastiaro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edelmiro Haimar. The goal made the score 1-6. Albino Argider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Octavio Jeraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Argider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Maidana got free with Edelmiro Haimar in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Roberto Herensuge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavio Jeraldo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. A collision led to Sanagasta AFC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play.
