In the 42nd minute of the match Andrézinho Cunha sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artur Sarnat skillfully saved the ball. After the first half Magic Canhotas FC -DMZ- were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
