The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The wind increased when Marcel Vieira made the kick off in the second half. Hudson Vargas's late challenge caught a PI FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hudson Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. Hudson Vargas hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. A collision led to Paulopolis getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Hudson Vargas hit a great ball. Cayetano Rito stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zacarias Llope's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. The supporters of PI FC booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Prospero Esdras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Cayetano Rito made a huge save. Cayetano Rito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Llope in the 66th minute of play. PI FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gaspar Luke in the 69th minute. After taking down the ball on PI FC's corner Gaspar Luke fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cayetano Rito quite easily take care of the ball. PI FC's Eliseo Uxio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Vieira in the 70th minute of play. The Paulopolis fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Paulopolis's Marcel Vieira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hudson Vargas hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Prospero Esdras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PI FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Prospero Esdras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of PI FC booed when Paulopolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho Lopez didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Bartolome in the 89th minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Cayetano Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guilherme Freire lost his temper 94 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Paulopolis fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 94th minute. Penalty! Cayetano Rito had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Gaspar Luke's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball Gaspar Luke did an outstanding performance 97 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 4-3 to the right of an irritated Cayetano Rito in the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the PI FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Paulopolis.
