Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Vladimir Braga made the kick off in the second half. Mehmet Halis Çağar came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Vladimir Braga. But to his dismay, Vladimir Braga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. When Anísio Rosado fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nova Iguaçu MZFC's protests and gave Anísio Rosado a yellow card for diving instead. Anísio Rosado kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vladimir Braga in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mehmet Halis Çağar saved Cᴀɴᴇʏ ᶠᶜ from getting behind. Mauro de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arda Baybars Trabzonlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Cᴀɴᴇʏ ᶠᶜ's goal looked a bit too open when Dito Velloso came free, but Mehmet Halis Çağar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Cᴀɴᴇʏ ᶠᶜ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nova Iguaçu MZFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
