In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karen FC's goalkeeper Ma Yong Jun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Bruno Cusumano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Ernesto De Lucia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Carciofo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chrisostomos Grimsø, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anders Törnqvist during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 17 played minutes Karen FC got a freekick which was hit by Anders Törnqvist. The supporters of Karen FC booed when Cesate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karen FC's Ma Yong Jun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Karen FC from getting a goal against them. 28 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goalkeeper Ma Yong Jun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carter Cavallo. After 34 played minutes Cesate got a freekick which was hit by Carter Cavallo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Cusumano got free with Ma Yong Jun in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cesate were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Karen FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bruno Cusumano took the corner. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bon Guidetti made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Karen FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Manzoni came free, but Ma Yong Jun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Cusumano scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ma Yong Jun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ma Yong Jun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Manzoni in the 60th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Cesate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Santoro to maneuver through the defense. Oskar Sandell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Bruno Carciofo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Carciofo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bon Guidetti, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After some careless play in the Cesate defense, Bon Guidetti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Carciofo. The Cesate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Carciofo should have stopped the shot. Oskar Sandell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Bruno Carciofo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 78 minutes, Chrisostomos Grimsø mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Karen FC and the Cesate players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ma Yong Jun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carter Cavallo in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Bernardo Ferreri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leo Öfverman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Bruno Carciofo made a huge save. Bruno Carciofo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chrisostomos Grimsø in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute Oskar Sandell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Carciofo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chrisostomos Grimsø had several of the Cesate's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 95 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Bruno Carciofo as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Karen FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
